Ten most important questions
March 24, 2009
As most of you who look at my blog know that I am in no way shape or form a writer or journalist, but I do my best.
I recently read a book called SECRETS of SUPPLEMENTS the Good, the Bad and the TOTALLY TERRIFIC by Gloria Askew, R.R.N. and Jerre Paquette, PH.D. and at the end of this book were TEN TOTALLY TERRIFIC QUESTIONS.
These questions will challenge the manufacturer and retailers. The greatest power in our countries belongs to those who speak the loudest, the smartest, with the most persistance, and with the strongest convictions.
By learning what you need to know to truly look after yourself, and by acting on that knowledge, you evoke the power of all of us who are doing the same thing at the same time.
Can you imagine what would happen if millions of people demanded “Yes” answers to each of the totally terrific questions before buying their supplements?
Sound a little idealistic?
Exactly!
I invite you to try them out!
- Is your muti-supplement a plant-based product that includes vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients?
- If the multi- supplement is plants- based, is it derived from a variety of plants?
- If the multi-supplement is plant based and derived from a variety of plants, does the manufacturer own its own land and grow, harvest, and concentrate its plants?
- Does the Vitamin C supplement contain the whole-plant concentrate, including associated phytonutrients?
- Are supplements cerified organic from the soil and seed up?
- Is the disintegration time on the tablet about 30 minutes or less?
- Does the manufacturer voluntarily adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices from seed to end product and to the Council for Responsible Nutrition for its fish oil products?
- Does the manufacturer assay its entire line for heavy metals. microbiological contaminants and pollutants, and desirable nutrient compounds?
- Does the manufacturer have published Bio-Assays that I can easily access?
- Does the manufacturer publish an ORAC score on its anti-oxidants that is based on a wide range of Free Radical groups?
If the manufacturer or retailer can’t answer yes to each and every one of these questions then what they offer may not be the totally terrific supplememt for you.
You should always consult your health care professional before taking any vitamins or supplements and when you do, share these totally ten terrific questions with them I think you’ll find that some health care providers have not adequately researched supplements and supplements quality.
This is a great book and I recommend it to anyone looking for better optimal health.
Thanks for reading
